Mixed Flow Fan Type MXF
MFX Mixed Flow Fan: American CoolAir Type MXF mixed flow fans are unique hybrid design, combining the volume flow capabilities of an axial fan with the pressure capabilities of a centrifugal fan. These fans are suited to meet ducted fan needs both economically and efficiently. They are designed to operate reliably in all environments including elevated temperature or contaminated air.
Peformance Characterists: designed for airflow from 1,000 CFM to 40,500 CFM and static pressures up to 5" WG, cobined with the energy efficiency provided by the mixed flow wheel Type MXF are suitable for low and medium pressure air handling applications.
MFX Construction: The fan housing and motor supports are made of heavy gauge steel plate for maximum strength and durability. The mixed-flow wheel is of heavy gauge welded steel. Both the housing and wheel are coated with epoxy to provide a protective coating rated excellent for hardness, impact resistance, adhesion and chemical resistance. Bearings: L10 and L20 heavy duty pillow block ball bearings with extended bearing lube lines with grease fittings are available on most models.
Motors: Totally enclosed motors and ODP motors are standard options for all models. A selection of motor speeds is available on direct drive units. Several alternatives are available to fit your specific needs, such as explosion proof motors, two-speed motors, energy efficient motors and severe duty motors. Only nationally recognized brand motors with nationwide service facilities are used.
MXF Drive Mechanism: MXF fans are belt driven models designed for quiet operation and low initial cost. All models use standardly available motors. Direct drive is available as optional variant of the belt drive model.
Standard accessories:flash / raised access door, inspection port, drain and plug, 3-way drain, mount feet, belt guard, motor cover, spring vibration isolation, rubber-in-share (RIS) vibration isolation, vibrating pads, electrical actuators, pneumatic actuators.
Roof mount accessories: roof curb mount cap, roof curb, weather band, weather shroud with integral flap damper, butterfly damper assembly, magnetic latches.
Controls and drives: variable frequency drives (VFD), across-the-line starters, RTDs, pressure sensors, flowmeters - complete control packages.
